How can I impregnate Getxent tubes with odor of animals/insects/plants?

Case: Animal/Insect/Plant Can Be Kept in a Closed Container

Step 1: Place the animal/insect/plant in a clean, small-volume, odor-free, and closable container.

Step 2: Open the packaging containing the Getxent tubes, and using tweezers while wearing disposable gloves, pick up the Getxent tubes.

Step 3: Place the Getxent tubes in the container with the animal/insect/plant. To avoid direct contact with the animal/insect/plant:

OR

  • Place the animal/insect/plant in a smaller, open glass jar inside the container. If needed, this small jar can be covered with a stainless steel mesh (with the largest grid possible). The Getxent tubes can then be placed around the small glass jar.

Step 4: Close the container and impregnate the Getxent tubes (see our recommendation for duration). If necessary, leave the container slightly open to allow air circulation.

Step 5: After impregnation, open the container and remove the Getxent tubes using tweezers and disposable gloves. Store them in glass vials.

Multiple Getxent tubes can be impregnated together, and they can even be in contact with each other.

Any other cases

Step 1: Open the packaging containing the Getxent tubes, and using tweezers while wearing disposable gloves, pick up a Getxent tube.

Step 2: Place at least one Getxent tube as close as possible to the target:

  • Animal (in a burrow, in a cage, etc.)
  • Insect (in the ground next to the nest, etc.)
  • Plant (fastened to the trunk, hung in leaves, buried next to roots, etc.)

Step 3: Impregnate the Getxent tubes (see our recommendation for duration).

Step 4: After impregnation, pick up the Getxent tubes using tweezers while wearing disposable gloves. Store them in glass vials.

Multiple Getxent tubes can be impregnated together, and they can even be in contact with each other.
