4.First Aid Measures

4.1. General: First aid measures depend on material from the tubes and depend on substance impregnated in the tube by the user. In case of use of blank tube, follow first aid measures below. In case of use of impregnated tube, additional first aid measures might be required. Please refer to safety documentation of the substance impregnated in the tube.

4.2. Inhalation: In case of inhalation of gases coming from thermal decomposition of product, move person to fresh air and seek medical attention immediately.

4.3. Ingestion: If swallowed, may cause gastrointestinal blockage. Do not give laxatives. Do not induce vomiting unless directed to do so by medical personnel. In case of complaints, consult a doctor.

5.Fire Fighting Measures

5.1. Extinguishing media: Water spray, foam, carbon dioxide.

5.2. Firefighting procedures:  Keep people away. Isolate fire and deny unnecessary entry. Soak thoroughly with water to cool and prevent re-ignition. Cool surroundings with water to localize fire zone. Handheld foam or carbon dioxide extinguishers may be used for small fires.

5.3. Special protective equipment for fire fighters: Wear self-contained breathing apparatus and protective suit.

5.5. Hazardous combustion products: During a fire, smoke may contain the original material in addition to combustion products of varying composition which may be toxic and/or irritating. Depending on the odor impregnated in the tube, combustion products may include and are not limited to carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide, suflur oxides, nitrogen oxides (NOx), hydrogen cyanide, hydrogen chloride, hazardous organic compounds.

6.Accidental Release Measures

6.1. Personal precautions, protective equipment, emergency procedures, methods and materials for containment and cleaning up

Recovery: Sweep up to prevent slipping hazard.

Elimination: Throw in an approved waste disposal site, in accordance with local and national regulations.

7.Handling and Storage

7.1. Handling: Keep away from heat and flame. See Section 8, Exposure controls and personal protection.

7.2. Storage: To preserve product performances, store in a cool place, ideally between 0°C and 25°C, without exceeding -30°C/+50°C. Store in a clean and dry place, away from direct sunlight. Store preferably in original sealed packaging.
