The use of an intermittent schedule of reinforcement to evaluate detection dogs’ generalization from smokeless-powder
Getxent tubes impregnated by exposition to direct & indirect contact with 10 g of Smokeless Powder (SP) for 48h then evaluated by dogs.
Study concludes that:
- The proportion of correct responses to the Getxent tubes, and IED were not statistically different from SP
- The sniff time for the Getxent tubes is not statistically different from SP.
Thus, Getxent tubes exposed to direct or indirect contact to SP can be consider non-pseudo training aids.
