Will impregnated Getxent tubes be contaminated by the odor of the surroundings?

No, when used correctly and during a period of time equivalent to the impregnation time, impregnated Getxent tubes will not absorb odors from the surroundings. The outward flow of target odor molecules released by the impregnated Getxent tube prevents contamination because any external odor molecules would have to move against this flow to enter the tube.

As long as the outward flow from the tube is stronger, the external odors cannot be absorbed, keeping the Getxent tube free from contamination.
