  • How can I analyse Getxent tubes with analytical instruments?

    Getxent tubes can be analyzed on analytical equipments. The 2 main machines are:

    • Gas chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry (GC-MS)
    • Liquid chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry (LC-MS)

    GC-MS

    Tubes can be directly analyzed by GC-MS:

    • SPME
    • Headspace

    An example of SPME method is available below.

    LC-MS

    LC-MS analysis of Getxent tubes requires an extraction of the content of the Getxent tubes with solvents. We recommend the following solvents at room temperature:

    • Methanol
    • Dimethylformamide
    • Acetone
    • Isooctane
    • 10% sulfuric acid solution
    • 10% caustic soda solution
